Fall Camp Experience - Scouts BSA 2023

Each fall, hundreds of Scouts make Camp K their home for a week of achievement, camping, and leaderships adventures. Try outdoor skills, nature studies, shooting sports, wood working, and Trail to Eagle Merit Badges. Evenings at camp include an ice cream social and movie nights. Camp under the stars while making new friends!

Registration

CHECK-IN: Check in is from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, 2023.

DATE: November 17-22, 2023

PLACE: Camp Karankawa, 3249 FM 1459, Sweeny, TX 77480

COST: $50 deposit due at time of registration
$225 for in-council Scouts
$250 for out-of-council Scouts
$125 for adults
$100 for Counselors-in-Training
Staff and Merit Badge Counselors are complimentary

TO REGISTER: You will need to have the following information available at the time of registration: For Scouts and staff: T-shirt size, dietary restrictions and any physical disabilities. For Adults: Full legal name, address, date of birth, dietary restrictions and any physical disabilities.

CREATE A LOG-IN IF YOU PLAN ON MAKING CHANGES.UNITS REGISTRATIONS: NO INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS ALLOWED. SCOUTS MUST HAVE TWO-DEEP LEADERSHIP TO ATTEND CAMP. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE 2-DEEP LEADERSHIP, CONTACT THE CAMP DIRECTOR FOR ASSISTANCE.

Packing List

- ROSTER - Every Troop or registered adult must be listed on a current Troop Roster to attend.
- HEALTH FORM HERE (Parts A, B & C must be completed. Please turn in at check-in.)
- Closed-toed shoes.
- Signed field-trip permission slip if required for your Merit Badge class.
- Long-sleeve cotton shirt and pants if required for your Merit Badge class.
- Rain gear if needed.
- Money for the Trading Post.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will only be granted and paid to the original paying customer - the unit or individual. Refunds will only be considered under certain circumstances (sickness, death in family, summer school, military deployment or relocation) as long as it is requested in writing, with back-up documentation, and received in the Scout Service Center, 3020 53rd Street, Galveston, TX 77551-5917. A 15% processing fee will be applied to all refunds. Refund requests due to light weather issues, homesickness, schedule conflicts, misinterpretation of printed council policies and procedures or reasons other than those noted above do not qualify. In addition, partial refunds will not be granted for partial camp/event stays. If a camp or event is forced to be canceled by the council, because of severe weather, or circumstances prior to the camp or event occurring, the council will reschedule the camp/event or initiate the refund process. All refund requests are due to the council office no later than 15 days after the close of the event. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment within 30 days after a formal decision has been made.
