Native American Weekend 2024

Native American Weekend is open to family campers and offers games, crafts, archery, sling shots, Indian lore and closes with a Saturday night Pow Wow. Camp Friday, Saturday and Sunday or come for a day trip on Saturday only.  All participants will receive a Native American Weekend patch.

PACKING LIST: BSA Health & Medical form parts A&B, camping gear, chairs, flashlight, food, water bottle, mosquito spray, toiletries, towel, rain gear if needed, money for the Trading Post.

TO REGISTER: You may register with your Pack or as individuals. Packs and Troops will be grouped together based on your answers in the registration. For example, if you answer that you are in Pack 100, you will be grouped with Pack 100.

REGISTER BY: October 13th, 2024

Registration

TIME: Check-in after 3 p.m. on Friday. Check-in at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Program begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Check-out by 11 a.m. on Sunday.

DATE: November 1-3, 2024

PLACE: Camp Karankawa, 3249 FM 1459 Rd, Sweeny, TX 77480

COST: (Participants will receive a patch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day are the responsibility of the camper, however lunch may be purchased on Saturday.)

Weekend: $15 youth, $12 adult, $5 youth under 5

Saturday only: $12 youth, $10 adult, $5 youth under 5

Staff and Order of the Arrow staff are complimentary.

$15 per t-shirt. $20 for 2XL-3XL. (Adults only.) Youth will receive a patch.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will only be granted and paid to the original paying customer - the unit or individual. Refunds will only be considered under certain circumstances (sickness, death in family, summer school, military deployment or relocation) as long as it is requested in writing, with back-up documentation, and received in the Scout Service Center, 3020 53rd Street, Galveston, TX 77551-5917. A 15% processing fee will be applied to all refunds. Refund requests due to light weather issues, homesickness, schedule conflicts, misinterpretation of printed council policies and procedures or reasons other than those noted above do not qualify. In addition, partial refunds will not be granted for partial camp/event stays. If a camp or event is forced to be canceled by the council, because of severe weather, or circumstances prior to the camp or event occurring, the council will reschedule the camp/event or initiate the refund process. All refund requests are due to the council office no later than 15 days after the close of the event. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment within 30 days after a formal decision has been made.
